The Evans Family

I’ve been photographing the Evans family for quite a few years and have enjoyed getting to know them and their beautiful girls Brooklyn and Katie. Marci has me photograph the kids on a regular basis, but they haven’t had a whole family session in quite awhile. Her husband Doug has been battling Lyme Disease for years and his health has unfortunately declined to the point where he has been placed in Hospice Care. It is such a sad and unfair situation, especially with such a young family. I was so glad they asked me to photograph them all together again last week, as I know how important and precious these moments can be, even when they are difficult ones. They all wore their “Team Evans” bracelets and shared lots of hugs, smiles, and tears. I hope I was able to capture some special moments they will treasure forever…

Lacey R - These are all just incredible and so touching, Megan. I can feel the love among this beautiful family. My top two favorites are the one of Mr. Evans embracing his wife and the photo of Mom and the girls all kissing Daddy. My heart goes out to this family.

We love you all and are encouraged by your faith and love during these hard times.

Awesome Light + Family Sessions

The best time of day to do sessions is usually early morning and in the evening. The other day I ended up having both kinds of sessions on the same day! The Kuznia family met me out at one of my favorite spots in the woods and brought their three cuties Nora, Greta, and Blake. Their outfits went perfectly with three of my fun painted chairs and we also did some family shots. Then that evening I met up with the Money family for a session just before sunset at my studio grounds and we again had some awesome light. Here are my favorites!

Becky - Love all the bright colors!
You must have a HUGE colletion of chairs! I thought mine was getting big, but yours would probably put it to shame! lol.

Elma - Been enjoying catching up on your work! Fantastic. I love your chair collections – I’m off to see where I can buy something similiar! Great stuff!

More June Boys!

I’ve definitely photographed a lot of little boys this month! One muggy afternoon last week I had some adorable visitors out to the studio and we made the best of the heat. Little Kale just celebrated his first birthday and after some coaxing he gave us some seriously cute grins and also joined in some shots with Mom. I loved his colorful outfits and those suspenders were fantastic! Then I had another lovely family with little guys Owen and Micah. They looked sharp in their white and khaki and had some fun family pictures with Mom and Dad. Here are my favorites!
