I’ve been photographing the Evans family for quite a few years and have enjoyed getting to know them and their beautiful girls Brooklyn and Katie. Marci has me photograph the kids on a regular basis, but they haven’t had a whole family session in quite awhile. Her husband Doug has been battling Lyme Disease for years and his health has unfortunately declined to the point where he has been placed in Hospice Care. It is such a sad and unfair situation, especially with such a young family. I was so glad they asked me to photograph them all together again last week, as I know how important and precious these moments can be, even when they are difficult ones. They all wore their “Team Evans” bracelets and shared lots of hugs, smiles, and tears. I hope I was able to capture some special moments they will treasure forever…
