It was a nice calm day with perfect spring weather for pictures! The theater was a great location for the ceremony which was held on the stage (there was also more room for the 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsman!) and the audience sat in the theater seats. We did a lot of photos around downtown and then headed to University Park afterwards. The reception was bright and colorful and fun–here are my favorites!

I’m loving all of my clients, new and old, and having a location to take pictures in my hometown has been a fantastic blessing. In my personal life, I’ve been busy with a toddler, expecting another baby this fall, and my husband is about to leave for 2 months to go custom harvesting… so the summer is only about to get busier! One of my favorite things has always been blogging–I love showcasing my favorites and giving each client their sneak preview, but lately I’ve realized how much more time it takes, and how little I have left at the end of the day. Because of this, I’ve decided to change up my blogging schedule a bit, by either only updating weekly with my favorites from sessions that week, or just taking a break and updating when I can. I will still blog weddings separately, but as far as sessions I’m going to have to just combine and pick my favorites for now. Thanks everyone for understanding… and so, my first weekly update will begin now! I had some great sessions last week with two newborns, a family session, and a 3 month session. Here are my picks of the bunch!

We did lots of different group shots and of course focused on all the kids, although it was hard to get them all in the same shot while looking at the camera and not crying… but that’s pretty normal for little ones this age! Here are my favorites from their session, which we did using some outdoor locations near my studio. Their colorful outfits went perfectly with the backgrounds, so this is a great example of how to dress for a session!

I had it up at my parent’s house this past winter and now I’m having fun with it again. I love having all this space to play with props and backdrops, but it’s also great to go outside now that the weather is starting to get nicer. We went outside for a few shots at the end of our session so Mason got some smiles in the woods. Check it out!
