Welcome to my blog!  See the cute little guy on the right?  That's my baby boy, Wesley Nathan, and he's four months old.  He keeps his mama pretty busy--so busy in fact, that she's had to slow down her workload a bit in order to soak up as much time with him as she can while he's little!

Right now I'm not taking any additional new clients until later this winter, so my apologies for anyone who I've missed!  I appreciate everyone who has been so understanding and flexible at this time!  Keep checking back for updated availability, and of course, all the latest blog posts.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sniff, Sniff–I’m still here!

Well once again I’ve let my blog slip, but with good reason this time.  I thought I was coming down with a cold last week and tried to take it easy for a few days.  When it seemed it was getting slightly better, we ended up taking a quick trip down to Minneapolis for the weekend to do some shopping and registering for baby things.  The whole weekend I gradually felt worse and couldn’t taste or smell anything due to my plugged up sinuses.  By the time we returned home I felt probably the worst I’d felt since the whole thing began, so I finally gave in and headed to the doctor.  Turns out that was a good decision, because I ended up having a bacterial sinus infection!  The only way to treat it quickly is pregnancy safe antibiotics, so I was put on those right away.  Finally!  I’m on my second dose and haven’t quite felt the effects yet, but I hope to be back on my feet once it really starts to kick in.  In the meantime, I’ve been unable to do much but lie on the couch, so I apologize if a few things have fallen behind!  Being sick on top of being pregnant hasn’t been the easiest, especially when I can feel that nesting instinct beginning.  I’ve been too exhausted, so all I can do is throw everything in a pile to be organized when I start feeling better!  (And that includes photography related things, too!)

One of the highlights of our trip to Minneapolis, though, had to be when we ended up getting a 3D ultrasound!  I had always wanted to do one and by chance there was one appointment left on Sunday morning so we got in and were able to see just a glimpse of our baby’s face for the first time.  It was absolutely incredible!  On the left we got a good peek at his facial features, center another 2D profile shot, and right, his hand in a fist.  These will have to do until I can take pictures of him myself.  I can’t wait… only 6 weeks to go!
