Well hello there! It’s been awhile since my last post, and while I’ve continued shooting (albeit voluntarily less, as weather and my expanding belly permit!) I realize that in the coming months as the baby arrives and I begin maternity leave, this blog will definitely take a change in direction for awhile. I hope to continue posts even when not photographing clients, (and hope you continue to read!) and maybe share a bit more of my personal life, new baby pictures, and the adventures I will have as a new mom. For now, though, I did take a chance to go for a walk (waddle?) in the woods last week on a frosty morning, and thought I’d share a few photos of that. Something a little different! I also wanted to share a bit of my office remodel. More on that below!
I suppose I could share an updated photo of myself, courtesy of a handy tripod and wireless remote! Yes–I can now take my OWN pictures!
As some of you may know, we currently live a unique space–a remodeled building that was once a snowmobile dealership showroom. We’ve made it into a 2 bedroom home and have learned to use our space as wisely as we can! The second bedroom was always my office, but with a new baby coming I’ve decided to downsize that office to a small corner and make the rest of the room for baby stuff. It’s a tight squeeze, but it’s been fun to meet the challenge! Additionally, we have dreams of building a new home someday, so we know this isn’t forever. With that in mind, it’s been fun to make a few small changes (what a coat of paint and some new flooring will do!) and see where this room takes us…here is the progress so far!
As you can see, my original office pretty much expanded the whole room, with way too much clutter and disorganization. Yikes!
A clean slate!
Left, my new downsized workstation (iMac on the left is going to be up for sale soon!)… on the right, the baby furniture starting to take shape!
As you can see it’s still a work in progress. I’ll definitely be updating as the project goes along and we put the finishing touches on the room–it still needs a LOT more baby stuff! I love before and after photos so I’ll more than likely make a collage when it’s all complete!
