Arizona Sessions continue! This time I got to photograph a family I haven’t seen in a few years (since the last time I was in Arizona!) We had an interesting bout of weather during our session. Friday afternoon the air turned a bit cooler and the winds brought on what I learned was a “Haboob“… a desert dust storm! We found a sheltered area in the neighborhood, but the air and lighting was so different than anything I’ve experienced in Minnesota! The skies were hazy and “khaki” colored, and due to the dust particles flying in the air I couldn’t change the lenses on my cameras during the session. Luckily since I regularly shoot with two cameras I just picked my two favorite focal lengths that work well for family sessions and went with those. It also gave the photos kind of a neat aged tone–I did not edit them to look this way, just did my usual proofing style! Here are my favorites!
